Michelle, should we blame you for taking a selfie at Auschwitz? This particular title is a perfect summary of this piece that surprised us with its ability to ask some good questions.

A middle school class goes on a school trip to Auschwitz. One of them, Michelle, posts a selfie on social media where she is all smiles in front of the death camp barracks. Immediately hatred and popular vindictiveness are unleashed with their inevitable flood of filth and bad spirit.

The troupe of young actors deploys great energy to translate the carefreeness and enthusiasm of youth; a youth obsessed and drugged by cell phones and other very unsocial networks. In an inventive staging, the danger of these networks lurks in the shadows and appears in the faces of all those who abuse them. Education, transmission, awareness are at the very heart of the piece which is right in the news. Finally, the terrible problems posed by immediacy, non-reflection and free speech given to anyone without filters, emerge in a dazzling way in this piece.

So? Michelle, should we blame you for taking a selfie at Auschwitz? Only the informed viewer will be able to answer this question. In any case, we can only encourage you to run to the Factory to applaud this excellent show.
