The second edition of the Grand PianO Festival took over Orléans: from the Institute, to Campo Santo, via the Cercil, the Hôtel Cabu and the cathedral, all these places vibrated during these few days. The opportunity for music lovers or not to discover the piano in its many facets.

Moreover, eclecticism is the key word of the festival. Friday evening, at Campo Santo, it’s the pianist Shani Injured who started the evening, she who plays both classical and electro, before passing the baton to Flavien Berger. A hybrid artist, mixing electro, pop and psychedelia, always eager for musical experimentation.

Zaho de Sagazan performed for the first time in a new format, as a quintet on stage. She enchanted the 4,000 spectators present with her texts and her style filled with emotion. The young woman obviously performed the songs from her first album, the best known being The symphony of lightning. The one who won 4 Victoires de la Musique in February irradiated the spectators for an hour and a half with her airy melodies and her captivating voice. She also made them move around a lot, inviting them “to let go, to do anything, to dance”!

Saturday, still at Campo Santo, the piano once again toured the world with the Polonaise Hania Rani, Americans of Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio and the highly anticipated Grandbrothers. Sunday, the winner of the Orléans international piano competition in 2018, Maroussia Gentet performed on a catamaran on the royal river, followed by the public from the Quai du Châtelet.
