The Terra La Sienne association, created in May 2024, held an extraordinary general meeting on Saturday November 16, 2024.
The Terra la Sienne association currently has around forty members. It is affiliated with the national association “The Edible School”, develops a purchasing group responsible as well as a permaculture club.
“After a few months of existence, the association needed to restructure itself to adapt to the available forces and facilitate relations with the administrations,” explains Linda Bedouet. It is therefore a “classic” office which was elected. It is made up of Mathilde Legris, president; Boris Skrobek, treasurer; and Linda Bedouet, secretary. The board of directors now has only five directors following the withdrawal of two people and the death of Pascal Banning.
However, we will retain the method of horizontal governance to which we are attached; “doing together” is part of our values with better eating accessible to all
In 2024, the association participated in the Sports and Leisure Day organized in June by the municipality of Noues-de-Sienne and joined forces, in October, with the “Plant swap” day of the Fleurs de la Chapelle Godefrairie.
2025 projects
Many projects were mentioned for 2025 such as: the organization of a group order before the month of December, a plant swap spring; the reception of “Tour de France” a musical tale” by Philippe Seranne and David Aubaile and their Piano-bike. “They tour France by bike towing 250kg of piano.”
Following the installation of vegetable plots and a conservatory orchard, a permaculture zone should be developed in front of the socio-cultural center. The association also plans to plant a tree in memory of Pascal Banning.
“We will also support Bastien and Gaëlle, two of our members, in their project to create a participatory vegetable garden”, but also forge links with other associations sharing the same values as Terra la Sienne such as Le Bocage Perché, Les Croqueurs de Apples, the shared gardens of Vire the 4 seasons; and study projects with Elodie Guillouet, head of the media library.
