With a new management team, the programming for this edition is intended to be eclectic. More than forty artists, ranging from hip-hop to blues, jazz and funk, will perform on three emblematic stages: the Cybèle stage, the Club at the François-Ponsard theater, and the Théâtre antique. In addition to the headliners of the festival whose reputation is well established (David Krakauer, Yamê and Caravan Palace), Jazz à Vienne highlights new talents thanks to its emergence program, offered for ten years now. -eight years. Jazz in Vienna stands out for its accessibility. Three quarters of the concerts are free, with a varied program at the Club and on several open-air stages.

This promises to be a masterful evening. Switzerland will also be in the spotlight, with seven Swiss groups scheduled throughout the event.

And that’s not all! The highlights follow one after the other, with Masego and his traphouse jazz, present for an exclusive date in France on July 4th. Then, on July 6th, spotlight on Jeanne Added and Hiromi. A special pop and jazz evening to go see urgently.

ReZZo springboard, the outpost

Since 2004, Jazz à Vienne has been honoring new jazz talents via the ReZZo springboard. For more than fifteen years, this program has been at the forefront of new jazz scenes. It offers a real opportunity for winners to develop their professional careers thanks to comprehensive artistic support. For a year, the winning group receives sound advice in management, communication and technique. He also benefits from a four-day artist residency at the Abattoirs of Bourgoin-Jallieu. This way, he can refine his repertoire and prepare for a tour. In addition to this residency, the winning group is offered the recording of an album, then signed to the Komos label.

Each year, the Tremplin ReZZo deploys a meticulous selection process, relying on a vast network of partners throughout France. Concert halls, clubs, festivals, record labels and specialist media collaborate to find local talents who will compete for the final in Vienna. Each region designates a group. Only seven finalists will have the honor of taking the Cybèle stage during the festival. A jury, made up of professionals from the world of jazz, will then decide the winner.

Among the seven finalists of this 48th edition, Hugo Diaz Quartet stands out for its original compositions – a lyrical jazz with multiple influences. Asura, inspired by nature and wide open spaces, delivers contemplative music rich in nuances, ideal for jazz, blues and pop lovers.
