A New Popular Front – RN duel in the 1re constituency
The breakthrough of the National Rally is also confirmed in the first constituency (Alençon-Domfront). Here again, the outgoing PS MP Chantal Jourdan is put in difficulty by Nadine Belzidsky, RN candidate who comes at the top of the ballot with 35.18% of the votes. Chantal Jourdan, candidate of the New Popular Front, is far behind with 27.33% of the votes. In third position, the candidate of the presidential majority, Patricia Chapelotte, obtains 21.52% of the votes and can remain in the second round if she wishes.
