A tragedy took place this Sunday morning in Colmar (Haut-Rhin) where an 8-year-old girl was found dead in her apartment, fatally injured. Her mother, the main suspect in this case, was arrested by the police after threatening them and throwing objects out the window.
Alerted around 10:40 a.m. by local residents reporting the worrying behavior of a woman throwing objects from her apartment located on Avenue de la République, the police went to the scene. As reported by -17, the suspect, speaking in Arabic, made death threats against them, shouting “Allah Akbar.”
Faced with her aggressive and uncontrollable behavior, the police had to use an electric shock gun (PIE) to control her. Then entering the apartment via the large fire ladder, they discovered the lifeless body of the 8-year-old girl lying in her bed. The victim had injuries to the chest and face. A bloody knife was also found in the home.
Despite the intervention of emergency services, the little girl had already died. The suspect, for her part, was taken to hospital for medical examinations. An investigation was opened by the Colmar public prosecutor’s office and an autopsy of the victim will be carried out in order to determine the exact causes of his death.
