In the first constituency of Haute-Marne (Chaumont and Langres in particular), the RN is in the lead after this first round in which five candidates were competing. The outgoing deputy (National Rally) Christophe Bentz obtained 48.9% of the votes ahead of Bérangère Abba (Horizons). The latter was a deputy for the constituency between 2017 and 2022. She was Secretary of State in the government of Jean Castex. She obtained 28.1% of the votes. In 3rd position, Benjamain Lambert (New Popular Front): 20.38%. Sylvain Demay follows with almost 2% of the votes (Workers’ Struggle) and Baptiste Gallet, 0.8% (without a label).

In the 2nd round, there will therefore be a possible triangular in this 1st constituency of Haute-Marne between Christophe Bentz (RN), Bérangère Abba (Horizons) and Benjamin Lambert (NFP). Michèle Leclerc, LFI candidate who represented the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (NUPES), obtained 16.2% of the votes. Turnout was 50.6%.

Four candidates competed in the second constituency of Haute-Marne (Saint-Dizier in particular): the outgoing MP Laurence Robert-Dehault for the National Rally was re-elected in the first round. This is the first time that an RN candidate has been elected in the first round in Champagne-Ardenne with 56.82% of the vote. Nicolas Lacroix lost his bet, he came second (28.2%). The LR president of the Haute-Marne departmental council will not be in the second round. Ingrid Viot (LFI) for the New Popular Front obtained 13.19% of the vote and Justin Prum for Workers’ Struggle 1.9%.

In 2022, Laurence Robert-Dehault came out well ahead of the first round of voting, with 39.6% of the votes cast. The outgoing deputy (Les Républicains) François Cornut-Gentille was in second position with 27.9% of the votes, followed by Ingrid Viot, who represented NUPES, at 12.5%. Turnout was 47.3% in this constituency.
