Moroccan referee Khalid Hnich is on the list of referees selected to officiate at the FIFA Futsal World Cup, which will be played from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan.

“Referees have been participating in online training sessions since the beginning of the year with the aim of increasing consistency in decisions. These sessions will continue ahead of a pre-tournament seminar in Uzbekistan from 4 to 13 September,” FIFA said in a statement on Tuesday.

Three host cities – Andijan, Bukhara and Tashkent – ​​will host the matches. One of the 24 competing teams will be crowned world champion at the end of the final, which will take place in the capital on October 6.

In addition to Morocco, quarter-finalist in the previous edition of the World Cup and three-time defending champion of the Africa Cup of Nations, the African continent is represented in this competition by Angola and Libya.
