Residents of the Trois-Rivières-Ouest sector affected by a preventive boil water advisory since June 28 will have to be patient for a few more days.

The City initially indicated that the process of sampling and analyzing the results usually takes between 30 and 72 hours.
So far, there have been no apparent signs of the presence of bacteria or any other material.

Until the advisory is lifted, residents must boil their water for at least one minute before consuming it.

The City of Trois-Rivières estimates that the alert warning the population of this information was sent to approximately 8,000 people.
The boil water advisory is required due to a valve failure at the area’s drinking water reservoir.
Our teams intervened early Friday morning, June 28, to work to resolve the situation. However, the state of the infrastructure requires more time than expected before the current preventive boil water advisory can be lifted.
