Operators are invited to go, at 3:45 p.m., to one of the five assembly points defined by the two unions – Pont du Cerf in Coulouniex-Chamiers, Leclerc in Trélissac, Auchan in Marsac-sur-l'Isle, Cocottes et Popottes in Saint-Laurent-sur-Manoire (municipality of Boulazac-Isle-Manoire) and Aquacap in Champcevinel – at the wheel of their gear.

The tractors will then converge towards the prefecture, on the Allées Tourny in Périgueux, to “welcome the new prefect”, Marie Aubert, who is due to take office this Monday. “Don’t forget to bring a gift for the state representative: let’s show her together the state of our agriculture in Périgord,” we can read on the JA Facebook page.

The Conf' expected Tuesday

This day of mobilization could well lead to others. Tuesday, November 26, at 1 p.m., the Dordogne Peasant Confederation invites farmers, elected officials and citizens to mobilize, during a “farmer's picnic”, around 1 p.m., on the square in front of the Chamber of Agriculture, at Interconsular center in Coulounieix-Chamiers.
