Outgoing MP, Arthur Delaporte (New Popular Front) is well ahead in the 2nd constituency of Calvados. Second and also qualified for the second round, Josseline Liban (RN 25.84%) is at more than 16 points.

The re-election of Arthur Delaporte seems to be on track, but it will of course be necessary to sufficiently postpone the votes coming from the various right-wing Camille Brou (15.42%) and the presidential camp candidate, Grégory Berkovicz (14%).

“Deep fear for our country”

Joined by Liberté Caen, Arthur Delaporte is not triumphalist. The outgoing socialist deputy expresses in fact “his deep fear for our country following the results of this first round”.

The National Rally obtained an unprecedented score. We have a great responsibility. Not a voice must be missing.

Arthur Delaporte praises the “exemplary behavior” of Noé Gauchard in the 6th constituency and Pierre Mouraret in the 4th constituency. The two NFP candidates withdrew in favor of the presidential majority candidate in the second round.

The results of the 2nd district

Arthur Delaporte (NFP): 42.34%
Josseline Liban (RN): 25.84%.
Camille Brou (DVD): 15.42%.
Grégory Berkovicz (Together for the Republic): 14%.
Cédric Bazincourt (Stand Up France): 1.22%.
Christophe Garcia (Workers’ Struggle): 1.18%.

“A historic second round”

“I call on the presidential majority to do as we do,” continues Arthur Delaporte, who, for his part, is obviously satisfied with his score after two years in office and work both on the ground and at the national level.

But faced with a candidate from the National Rally who, for the first time, is placed in the second round in the second constituency, Arthur Delaporte wants to be a bulwark against the extreme right and defines himself as “the candidate of appeasement”. For the outgoing MP, July 7 promises to be “a historic second round”.
