Since November 2024, the company Saint-Vincent-De-Paul offers solidarity cafes every Tuesday morning, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Galerie du Petit Paradis in Barsac, in Gironde. An appointment given to the left of the village church.
Coffee, cakes and board games for a friendly moment
A project led by Céline and Jean-Marie which allows all those who feel the need to benefit from a moment convivial with coffee, biscuits and board games.
We are driven by the Christian faith and are concerned about our neighbors.
They offer a moment to break the isolation. This isolation can take several forms: solitude, depression, exclusion.
“Anyone who wants to spend a nice moment and exchange with other people” are welcome during this solidarity café. An event open to alland which is aimed at people of all ages, all origins and “ all faithscultures, practices… atheist or not.”
A start towards “a chain of friendship”
“We open the doors to all souls who need it,” explains Céline. In society's projections, these solidarity cafés are a starting point:
Subsequently, we would like the action to expand and for people to meet up outside of these moments. The objective is also to create a chain of friendship. We can also direct certain people experiencing difficulties towards social actors with whom we work in Bordeaux or Libourne and who support this action in Barsac.
In order to help the successful completion of these projects, people wishing tobecome volunteers can contact Céline on 06 28 20 22 01 or Jean-Marie on 06 22 94 69 26.
