Does the echelon tichodrome mean anything to you? It is abouta small sparrow whose rounded wings are reminiscent of those of butterflies.

Well, imagine that in Gironde, this little animal was in some way the muse of a book lover. Her name is Velva Lamy, she is a librarian at the Polyèdre, the Bazas media library, and presents his first book, Tico le tichodromeinspired by this small bird, 13 to 14 cm long, having acquired the habit to nest in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral.

A story that inevitably takes place… in Bazas

The story of the book is set in Bazas, a pretty medieval town in the south of Gironde. “The story takes place in our town when Tico arrives from the Pyrenees to spend the winter with us,” introduces the author.

But then, how did she decide to start creating a book for pitchoons? Thanks to a meeting with Pierrick Dorénature animator. We are then in 2023 and this man is preparing an animation at the Polyèdre. The subject: the echelon tichodrome, obviously. A click for Velva Lamy.
