A man, arrested in Grenoble last Monday, November 18 in connection with the disappearance of Lilou, a 16-year-old minor, in Metz, was indicted for “aggravated pimping” and placed in pre-trial detention this Friday, November 22. He is accused of having taken the minor to Grenoble and of having forced her into prostitution.
The Grenoble public prosecutor's office indicated, this Saturday, November 23, that a man, whose age has not been revealed, was arrested in Grenoble last Monday, November 18 as part of the investigation opened after the worrying disappearance of Lilou, a 16-year-old minor, in Metz. The latter was reported missing on October 23 and the alert was given by her mother.
The teenager was then found six days later, on October 29, in Grenoble. Lilou then explained “that she was forced to prostitute herself for the benefit” of a man, the latter having “led her from Metz to Grenoble”. According to the Grenoble public prosecutor, Eric Vaillant, the individual “collected money from customers, provided clothes and apartments and managed his ad on the “sexemodele” site”.
Following his arrest, the individual was placed in police custody, which lasted 96 hours. During this, he was questioned by investigators from the family protection brigade of the Grenoble police station.
The main suspect placed in pre-trial detention
The interrogations “made it possible to establish the reality of the prostitution of the minor, in particular by studying the contents of the seized telephones. Several clients were interviewed and will be subject to criminal proceedings,” the magistrate said.
The man was finally indicted on charges of “aggravated pimping (minor victim aged 15 to 18), kidnapping of a minor, pimping (major victim), use of prostitution of a minor”, according to the Grenoble public prosecutor's office. He was placed in pre-trial detention this Friday, November 22.
Currently, investigations are continuing as part of a judicial investigation opened this Saturday, November 23.
