The first round of legislative elections is this Sunday. Polling stations will open at eight a.m., but be careful, not all will close at the same time. Don’t let yourself be surprised by the schedules and the necessary documents to present. We guide you in this article.

You will probably vote on Sunday for the first round of early legislative elections. A vote which will determine, at the end of the two rounds, the deputy who will represent your constituency in the National Assembly among the 577 deputies in the chamber.

On our website, we will give you this Sunday, June 30, participation rates at 12 noon and 5 p.m. You can also follow live on our France 3 Aquitaine channel election night from 8 p.m.

A voter’s card is not obligatory, but to vote, you must prove your identity (identity card, passport, driving license, Vitale card or disability card with photo). Please note, only the original document is accepted, a photocopy is not valid.

On the other hand, the voter card can be useful to know your polling station as well as to facilitate the search for volunteers in the registers, where you will have to affix your signature after inserting your ballot in the ballot box.

If you cannot travel to your polling station, please note that it is still possible to make a proxy until voting day, June 30 and July 7. In Bordeaux in particular, we are trying to facilitate procedures with this mobile police station, a bus installed in front of the city’s police headquarters. It will be accessible 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until July 6.

But according to the Service-public.fr website, “you must make the power of attorney as soon as possible, due to delivery and processing times of the power of attorney. You risk not being able to vote if the town hall does not receive your proxy in time or if it does not have the time necessary to take it into account.

Voting is personal and secret. It is in the voting booth that you put the ballot in the envelope.
