the ASCH with forceps, Coteaux du Luy, the ESMS and the Stade Montois without difficulty, the Elan Tursan falls by the wayside, a new feat for the ADB girls

ASCH qualifies in pain

Despite a lot of lost balls and clumsiness in the first period, ASCH managed to tame Amou-Bonnegarde-Nassiet (ABN) (92-81) to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Coupe des Landes. Guilty of several errors, Avenir let Lalanne and Garcia gain confidence and shoot from long distance in the first period. At the break, ABN increased its initial handicap (39-55, 20th).

More involved and determined, the ASCH goes up a notch in intensity. The Regionals struggle to contain Acker in the paint and make mistakes. The gap narrows, Dauphoud and Dabadie continue the work of undermining near the circle, the first even tilts the planchot in favor of Avenir (59-57, 29th). The last act is neck and neck, Labaigt and Garcia keeping ABN in the match (71-66, then 74-69, 35th). But Djimassal in the paint and Monfort imperial at 6.75 m (8 triples and 33 points) got the better of ABN's efforts and allowed ASCH to qualify.

Stade Montois holds its place

The logic was respected this Friday in Lesperon where the residents of NM3, Stade Montois, played a perfect cup match to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Coupe des Landes at the expense of Basket Océan Côte Sud (103-63 ). Patient and diligent, the partners of pivot Ismaël Condé (24 points) erased the bonus (+ 21) in the second quarter. With a six-point lead at half-time, the prefecture's players managed the last two acts by relying on an offensively effective interior game (Romain Dupouy, Georges Tournier and Sydney Nkuité, 38 points in total). Marc-Antoine Pawlicki makes a demonstration (4 award-winning baskets) while, a good manager, Eric Billy-Diwongui manages the playing time of his players with a view to this Sunday's match in the “Sud Ouest” Super Cup.

Faced with one of the little thumbs of the competition, Hagetmau-Doazit-Chalosse (D2), Coteaux du Luy, in difficulty in its National 2 group, did not tremble. The Luycontins, who had an outlay of 42 points at kick-off, caught up with their opponents in… 10 minutes (46-46), the latter only registering four small points in the first quarter. Frédéric Lanave's players then unfolded (58-81, 20th; 67-109, 30th; 75-129, 40th) to validate their ticket for the quarter-finals. The latter notably join the ESMS, easy winner of the ABC (64-102).

The Elan Tursan takes the door

After Réal Chalossais in the previous round, it is the turn of another Nationale 3 club, Elan Tursan, to be eliminated from this 2024-2025 edition of the Coupe des Landes. Opposed to Cassen-Saint-Geours, undefeated leader of their Regional 1 group, the Tursanais expected a complicated match and they were served. Damien Vithe's players were unable to overcome the seven points behind them at the start of the match and will therefore not see the quarter-finals.

The ADB does it again, the ABC gets away with it

After the Espoirs de Basket Landes, the players of Adour achieved a new feat by dominating Coteaux du Luy this Friday (75-66). Having left with seven more points on the clock, the daughters of Jean-Baptiste Oyhanondo, residents of Regional 1, increased this lead over the Luycontines at the end of the meeting to reach the quarters and present themselves as more than serious candidates for the title . For their part, the double title holders of Avenir Basket Chalosse experienced some difficulties but they managed to get rid of the Regional 3 players of Cauneille (53-62) to continue the competition.
