Parade, laser show, funfair, there will be plenty of festivities in for Christmas.

Christmas is fast approaching, and with it, the promise of magical moments to enjoy with family, friends or alone. This year again, the City of Dax, in partnership with the Intercommunal Tourist Office and the Daxatou merchants' association, is offering a rich and varied program of activities from Saturday November 30, 2024 to Sunday January 5, 2025. Young and old will be able to thus marvel, enjoy the charms of the season. The opening ceremony, the first highlight, will take place on Saturday December 14 at 6 p.m. on the Yves Goussebaire-Dupin esplanade. New this year, an acrobatics and pyrotechnics show “Celestial Clocks” and fireworks will light up the evening.
Among the other new highlights of the event:– A luminous and poetic parade by the Compagnie du Lotus Bleu by Aicom36 is scheduled for Saturday December 21 at 7 p.m. Giant swans, luminous wading birds, flowers, butterflies and sparkling peacocks will stroll through the streets of the city center. – A food market has also been added to the program Tuesday, December 24 in the morning, Esplanade Yves Goussebaire-Dupin. This will be an opportunity to collect Christmas orders or to purchase local products at the last minute for end-of-year meals. – a laser show to illuminate the City is scheduled in two 15-minute sessions, at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Monday, December 23. Here again, we'll meet at the Yves Goussebaire-Dupin esplanade to experience, without a doubt, a moment of intense emotion. A 200 square meter ice rink and a funfair will be set up from December 7 to January 5 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. during school holidays and weekends, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the week on the Charles de Gaulle esplanade. Please note that the facilities will be closed on December 25 and January 1. We will come back to the different events in the coming weeks. Some practical information: Shops open on Sundays, December 15 and 22. Free on-street parking every afternoon from December 7 to January 5. Free Couralin transport every Saturday. The Vitenville shuttle will operate on Sunday December 15 and 22 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
