How can we keep as much parking as possible during the work?
This was the first concern of the traders of Poix-de-Picardie and their customers. How can we keep as many parking spaces as possible on Place de la République during the work?
A question answered by Christian Leroy during the presentation of the phasing of these.
Thus, even before the start of the work, the municipality will provide around fifty free and free parking spaces in the old Dewaele farm behind the village hall.

A total duration of 14 months of work at the end of which Place de la République will offer 132 parking spaces.
These will be minute places (the municipality can choose if it leaves 15 to 45 minutes), places in the blue zone and free places.

Despite the presentation of the work phases, traders were not entirely reassured. They fear that their customers will desert the city. Among them, the butcher and charcutier Julien Magnier spoke.
« How will the municipality support us during the work? Because we don't want to feel abandoned. Our businesses are our lives. I have seven employees, what should I tell them? If my turnover drops because of the work I would have to lay off workers. But I don't hire them to fire them. »

We are going to offer meetings to you traders with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) to create a support commission which will study your loss of turnover in order to help you. (…) You also need to communicate with your customers so that they show solidarity and continue to come during the work.. »
Elected officials are also planning meetings with exhibitors from the Sunday market and fairgrounds present at fairs to organize their visits during the work.
