There are two tickets left to be distributed for the Euro 2024 quarter-finals, to which France has been invited after its narrow victory over our Red Devils: the Netherlands, favourites this Tuesday at 6pm who face Romania, hope to reach the quarter-finals, just like Austria and Turkey who face each other at 9pm.

The day of the Euro 2024 final, July 14, is fast approaching and the final table is becoming clearer as the round of 16 finals deliver their verdict.

One thing is certain, the tournament will be spiced up by two high-flying matches for these quarter-finals with Spain-Germany et France-Portugalor nine titles in total and a bunch of stars called upon to compete.

The Captain’s Blues Kylian Mbappé have not distinguished themselves for their beautiful play, nor for their offensive power, so far. The victory on Monday against Belgium (1-0), minimalist, was drawn on an own goal by Jan Vertonghen (85th).

But even without shining, the team of Didier Deschamps continues to move forward, where it stopped in 2021 against the Suisse.

The “Nati” is also at the quarter-finals, with a clash scheduled for Saturday against England. It is in this part of the table that the teams competing on Tuesday will be playing.

The Netherlands are looking for certainties and a long-gone past, that of the years 1988-2004, when they had become accustomed to squatting in the last European four (four times out of five).

Tidy up with Teklak after France – Belgium (1-0): “We didn’t see Romelu starving to death”

THE Orange have not been in the continental top-8 for sixteen years. In 2021, the terminus appeared as early as the round of 16, an early exit that Ronald Koeman fears to repeat with the Netherlands.

The performance of his players has been insufficient so far: a victory against Poland (2-1) after being behind, a sad draw against the French (0-0) and a logical defeat against Austria (3-2).

Koeman deemed the final performance “terrible” and his captain Virgil van Dijk also grumbled at the poor spectacle: “If we want to do something in this tournament, something has to change.”

Fortunately for the Netherlands, their next opponent in Munich, the Romaniafinished the group stage with an identical haul (four points) and not much more momentum.

“We know that we will have to play a match close to perfection to get a good result,” the coach summed up. Edward Iordanescu. “Mentally, we will have to be very strong, especially in decisive situations.”

In Leipzig in the evening, the duel looks promising between Turkey and its passionate supporters, on the one hand, and a team ofAustria solid and united, on the other.

Who will win the match between Romania and the Netherlands?

Even if the “Oranje” are very far from their expected level in this Euro 2024, they should logically win this Tuesday against Romania, a nation largely within their reach.

The Romanians, who have not played a finals match since Euro 2000, are showing good things in this competition but their collective seems too weak to beat Ronald Koeman’s men.

We therefore expect a victory for the Netherlands against Romania at the end of regulation time, but the Dutch will certainly suffer for a good part of the match against these valiant Romanians.
