A few days ago, Étienne Dhuicq, the mayor of Montmirail, and his deputies, participated in a public meeting with residents of the Saint-Martin district and the streets of Libération, de la Juiverie and du Vaux Clairois.
The objective of this meeting was to address issues encountered locallybut above all to provide solutions
Discuss issues
Among the problems raised, those of parking sometimes anarchic, but also public lightinghedges that extend beyond properties and encroach on public space, or that of speed.
There was enough to make the mayor of the town react: “Some solutions are simple, others deserve more thought or testing, like the installation of locks to reduce speed. “
A neighborhood committee creates
This meeting made it possible to make a connection directly between elected officials and those administered.
At the end of this meeting, it was decided to create a neighborhood committee in order to convey the ideas of residents and thus work in direct contact with the municipality.
Other meetings will be scheduled in the future with residents of other neighborhoods of the municipality.
