Storm Caetano has left France and will give way this weekend in Occitania to sunny weather and a sudden rise in temperatures due to the south wind.
After the winter week that part of France experienced, clearings and mildness are back for the weekend. The weather promises to be pleasant in many regions except in the north-west of France which will remain subject to showers.
Saturday November 23
The sun will generally dominate the day. High clouds will invade the central Pyrenees, carried by a fairly strong southerly wind. Around the Mediterranean, maritime entries will bring low clouds to the Cévennes and the Rhône valley. It will rain lightly this Saturday evening and the following night. In the morning, the frosts will reach the South-West. The predicted maximums are 12°C in Carcassonne; 13°C in Rodez, Auch and Narbonne; 14°C in Montauban and Agen; 15°C in Cahors and Foix; 16°C in Albi and Castres; 18°C in Tarbes and 20°C in Pau.
Elsewhere in France, the day promises to be bright in many regions. An Atlantic disturbance will give very cloudy skies over the North-West with light rain along the Channel, more heavy over Finistère. This gloomy weather will be accompanied by a southerly wind of 60 to 80 km/h. In the Paris region and the northeastern regions, the sky is cloudy with a few drops of rain locally. Minimum temperatures will still be close to 0°C in many regions with severe frosts in the mountains. In the afternoon, they will be between 12°C and almost 20°C at the foot of the Pyrenees and in Corsica.

The strongest wind gusts recorded are 131 km/h at Plovan (29), 128 km/h at Cap Ferret (33) and 127 km/h at Saint-Nazaire (44).
