National Day of July 14, 2024 in Sartrouville (78): fireworks, karaoke and dance party

Sartrouville is celebrating the National Day on July 13 and 14, 2024, with fireworks, a giant karaoke and a popular dance party, for a festive weekend!

Like every year, Sartrouville is adorned with its most beautiful lights to celebrate July 14. It is not one, but two days of festivities planned in this city of Yvelines (78). A dazzling evening of fireworks, an opportunity to get together and celebrate National Day together. We immerse ourselves in it every year with renewed wonder.

July 14 is the emblematic date of the French National Day, a day of celebration which has its roots in the history of the country. July 14, 1789 is the date marking the storming of the Bastille, a major event of the French Revolution. This royal prison, symbol of the absolutism of the Ancien Régime, was stormed by the Parisian people. It was the beginning of an unprecedented political and social upheaval in France, and this date was then chosen as a symbol of the fight against oppression.

Many cities in Île-de-France celebrate National Day by organizing different events, on July 13, July 14, or both! But in Sartrouville, we like to have fun! So the National Day celebrations extend over two days, for our greatest pleasure.
