Thursday June 27, 2024 in the morning, the travelers arriving at Nancy station were able to see that lane separators had just been installed place Simone Veil.

Contrary to what one might think, they do not serve to fluidify access to the station. They actually announce future work.

The transformation of Place Simone Veil begins

Contacted by Lorraine Newsthe City of Nancy indicates that this “dam” is linked to the transformation of Place Simone Veil.

Deemed too mineral, the site will accommodate transitional arrangements before being completely overhauled. “We will install protections, sailsas well as foggers to make it a refreshing place. At the level of the vegetationto show what it could look like in the future, we will put plantations on the sides,” explained Isabelle Lucasfirst deputy delegate for ecological urban planning, housing, energy and food autonomy, and the climate plan, to our editorial staff last April.

According to the town hall, these various arrangements should be put in place at the beginning of July.
