All day this Thursday, the EFS organized the largest blood drive in Puy-de-Dôme at the Cézeaux campus, in Aubière. But the weather decided otherwise…
But while the blood stocks at EFS are alarming, only around ten people have come to donate blood on campus since 10 a.m.
The EFS was therefore counting on the solidarity and time (approximately 1 hour) of volunteers to come and donate blood.
Collection canceled
Except that due to storm Caetano and the strong winds affecting the department this Thursday, the blood drive is canceled for safety reasons.
“There will be a shortage of a lot of blood bags before the end of year holidays and the arrival of winter. It’s catastrophic”explains the EFS of Puy-de-Dôme.
However, the EFS invites everyone to come and donate blood at mobile blood drives.
