What very sad news! Philippe Guichard, better known as Balou, died suddenly. His children announced his death this Friday, shocking everyone. Balou was a real star locally with his sidekick Jeanpire, Jean-Pierre Baudrand. The two had just celebrated 15 years of performing, touring all over the Saône et Loire of course and then beyond, as they met, even in Paris in front of Chevallier and Laspalès. They made people laugh and we could only let ourselves be carried away by their love of performing and good humor. Balou was the first to seize every opportunity to bring a smile to the spectator’s face. With the Riratout association, they multiplied the shows in order to raise funds for sick children. Many associations were able to benefit from their unwavering support. Philippe did not hesitate to ask us whenever the opportunity was given to him… and we will remember this desire to give without counting.
In order to pay him a final beautiful tribute, in his image, the ceremony will take place on Wednesday, July 3, at 10 a.m., at the church of Gergy. The cremation will then take place in a small committee. Balou is currently resting at the Ciel funeral home, announced
