There’s more than just rugby in life: the Orchester National du Capitole de Toulouse opened the IN 2024 Festival of the City of Carcassonne on the stage of the Jean-Deschamps theater, this Friday, June 28.

Some Toulouse players played a Top 14 final this Friday evening. Others performed with the Orchestre National du Capitole on the stage of the Jean-Deschamps theatre in the Cité de Carcassonne. Nearly an hour and a half of concert and a real suspended moment for those who came to see the show. At the controls, Nicholas Carter orchestrated scores by Rossini, Berlioz and Beethoven in succession, accompanied by Marie-Nicole Lemieux, a renowned soloist in the opera world. All this, despite the repeated interruptions from the bell tower of the Saint-Nazaire basilica, adjacent to the theatre.

The spectators experienced a moment of intense poetry.
