Jean-Pierre Foucault’s tribute to Jean-Pierre Descombes: “After his passing, nothing could happen to us”

He was among the first to react following the announcement of the death of Jean-Pierre Descombes on Sunday at the age of 76. And for good reason, he knew him well. Jean-Pierre Foucault spoke on X (ex-Twitter). “Jean-Pierre Descombes has left us… So many shared memories, The 8pm Games, immensely popular host… Then ‘room warmer’ at Holy Night. After his visit, nothing could happen to us. He had prepared everything conscientiously.”

And he adds, as a conclusion, with a nod to one of the unmissable events of 20 hour games : “Neither yes nor no in heaven!”.

It was on television that Jean-Pierre Descombes revealed that he had Parkinson’s disease. It was in 2021 on the Non Stop People channel, on Evelyne Thomas’ show.I’ve been hiding this disease for 10 years. I’ve been playing a Majax for 10 years, trying not to let it show. I’ve had very difficult times when I’d secretly take pills, when I’d try to cool off without anyone seeing me. But unfortunately, this Parkinson’s is tough. No matter how much I fight against it, sometimes it wins.” he had confided.
