November 21, 2024 | Ottawa, ON | Public Health Agency of Canada

In October 2024, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) announced the creation of the External Review Committee (ERC) of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care (Task Force). This initiative aims to ensure that preventive health care guidelines meet the needs of Canada’s health care system and support the overall well-being of people living in Canada.

Today, the CEE public consultation opens to organizations and members of the public who wish to contribute to the external review process. The ERC is seeking feedback on a number of areas, including the structure of the Study Group, its mandate and the guideline development process. The CEE will accept written submissions from November 21 to December 21, 2024.

This consultation will enable broad participation in the data collection phase of the review and ensure that diverse perspectives are considered in developing the ERC’s recommendations.

The final CEE report is expected in spring 2025.
