They recognize it themselves: the mobilization was not there this Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Brest union house. Representatives of the CGT of the CPAM (Primary Health Insurance Fund) and the Caf (Family Allowance Fund) of Finistère organized a general assembly, the culmination of a week of strike for service agents audience. “We are witnessing a global smicardization of our professions,” says Sophie-Émeline Jouanny. Joined in his analysis by his CPAM counterpart, Manuel Trémoureux: “We are no longer attractive at all”.
“Salaries that are not taking off” and “massive turnover”
In the middle of the job classification signing period, and one month before salary negotiations, union representatives assure that they will not accept small measures. “Our salaries have not taken off for more than four years,” begins Sophie-Émeline Jouanny. Manuel Trémoureux takes action: “We are seeing a massive turnover, with 20 to 25 resignations, and people are leaving with their expertise. It’s the snake that bites its own tail and we end up with files of beneficiaries and users in arrears.”
In Finistère, CPAM and Caf are present in Brest, Quimper and Morlaix. They represent more than 1,000 agents distributed between the two funds. The CGT recalls that an unlimited strike notice was filed at the beginning of October.
