Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival

The Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival (TCCF) kicks off Canada Day in Vancouver this year with over 20 non-stop Taiwanese and Canadian performances and a host of free outdoor activities. Plus, this year, a second stage will be opening for the first time, with even more performing artists to discover at the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza and the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza.

Vancouver International Jazz Festival

Each year, Coastal Jazz welcomes many local and international talents to venues across the city. And this year, Grammy-winning rapper, advocate and entrepreneur Killer Mike is headlining the festival!

Mike will perform at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on June 29, and you can buy tickets ($69-$99 plus fees) for the show starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 14.

Canada together at Place du Canada

Canada Together at Canada Place has always been the biggest Canada Day celebration in Ottawa – and this year is no exception. The 38th annual event will feature a full day of festivities, food, family fun and live entertainment from 11 a.m. to 6 a.m. at Vancouver Harbor, planned in collaboration with the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

Steveston Salmon Festival

One of the country’s largest Canada Day celebrations returns this year to Steveston Village, bringing together a full day of live music, family fun and over 20 food trucks. Yes, we’re talking about this year’s Steveston Salmon Festival!

Now in its 77th year, the beloved annual celebration will once again feature the classic pancake breakfast, salmon bake and chow mein near the Steveston Community Center, in addition to tasty food trucks on place.

Canada Day Event in Surrey

Western Canada’s largest Canada Day celebration will take place at the Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre in Surrey and will offer visitors a full day of live music, including headliners Sass Jordan and The Sheepdogs.

There will also be rides, a pop-up “tavern” offering beer and wine, food trucks, a kids’ zone and an Indigenous village, where guests can learn about Indigenous cultures through storytelling, music, art and dance.

Bard on the beach
