July is always synonymous with Folk Markets in Échallens, this tradition born the day after the first Wheat and Bread Festival in 1978. Four are on the program this year, on Thursdays July 4, 11, 18 and 25.
The first two and the last take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The 3rd, called Le Grand Marché, lasts until 6 p.m. Also note that the 2nd market, that of July 11, will be specially dedicated to children with corresponding activities.
