NÎMES Pride March is Saturday!

The Pride Arena is an association for the defense of LGBTQI+ rights. She is organizing a big march this Saturday!

The third edition of the Nîmes Pride march will take place this Saturday, June 29. A parade that aims to defend LGBTQI+ rights during a key moment that is part of a larger program and which is designed by the Nîmes association l’Arène des Prides, in partnership with the City.

The departure of the pride march will take place at 4 p.m. from the Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle, in the direction of boulevards Amiral-Courbet, Gambetta then Victor-Hugo. A minute of silence will be requested in front of the Olive café and a speech in memory of the victims of HIV/AIDS and LGBTQI+ phobias will be given there. Finally, the procession will return to Boulevard de la Libération.

With its floats, its dancers and performers and its festive atmosphere, last year’s pride march brought together more than 2,000 people. Before, during and after the protest procession, this Saturday June 29 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle, an association village will be accessible with free activities, around twenty association stands, conferences and debates.

From 6 p.m. in different places in the city center, festive moments will also be organized. The program can also be found on Pride Arena Instagram. Finally, the next day, Sunday June 30 at 8 p.m., it is at Instant T that an LGBTQI+ lottery will close the festivities.
