Florence Foresti is not the type to let himself be locked into silence. Very active on social networks, the comedian never hesitates to use different platforms to express her opinions and defend the causes that are dear to her.
Whether for social, political or feminist issues, she is not afraid to speak out. It is therefore quite natural that, during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, she shared her opinion on the documentary Incest, saying it and hearing itavailable on France.tv.
For her, Andrea Rawlins-Gaston's achievement is “overwhelming“, “uplifting” et “necessary“.
A heartbreaking project
“Since the “#metooinceste” wave, speech has been freed. But is it listened to enough? In France, 10% of the population are victims of incest. Because these figures are impressive, because behind the figures, there are faces, seven women and one man stand with their faces uncovered. Together, they decided to tell the raw reality of the incest of which they were victims, to decipher its mechanisms and consequences in order to urge the public to carry out a listening revolution. Among them, the politician, Loubna Méliane, and the actress, Corinne Masiero who reveals for the first time the incest she suffered“. This is the synopsis of the project released in 2022.
For 1h20, the seven witnesses from the documentary Incest, saying it and hearing it provide a poignant testimony of their ordeal.
From a very young age, they were abused by family membersthe very ones supposed to protect them. Growing up in this toxic environment, they were led to believe that this treatment was the norm.
From horror to reconstruction
Victims of emotional blackmail, they felt responsible for not satisfying the desires of their attackers.
Through their stories, these survivors shed light on the social and psychological mechanisms that allow incest to persist, thus revealing a scourge that remains largely ignored and misunderstood.
Their highly detailed testimonies reveal the survival mechanisms they had to put in place to cope with the horror. Through their words, emerges the portrait of victims who became fighters, who, despite the trauma, choose to embark on the difficult path of reconstruction.
