A professional reconversion

The Isiérois today leads a life at a hundred miles an hour. With his partner Anne-Sophie Colbrant, Nicolas Delvin recently took over the chip shop located on the Place d’Isières, now called L’AS de la frie. “After major work, we opened our establishment in July“, adds Anne-Sophie Colbrant. “It’s a real professional change for both of us, because I worked in a factory and Nicolas in a butcher’s shop.

Within their Horeca establishment, the two young people make a point of offering products from local producers: “The catered dishes come from Salon Colette. Some of our meat comes from the Farose butchery in Lessines. Our wines come from the Cave de Giuseppe in Ostiches. Our drinks come from Drink du Moulin de Tenre in Rebaix… Helping local businesses is one of our values.“The fryers work with fresh fries, cooked in beef fat.”Our menu is evolving; we also regularly offer new homemade hamburger recipes, which can only be found here. “Vegetarian solutions are also offered and a “games” area is available to children. Moreover, on Saturday November 30 from 7 p.m., the Great Saint will burst into the chip shop, to the delight of the little ones (and big).
