In France, 54 departments were placed on orange vigilance this Thursday, November 21, 2024. Maine-et-Loire is on yellow vigilance. A few rare flakes began to appear this morning but in the north of the department, it is mainly freezing rain which falls in and around Lion-d'Angers. It rains in the Mauges, like in Chemillé-en-Anjou.
“We will most likely have snowflakes at daybreak, with slightly positive temperatures, between 2 and 4°C,” indicated the day before, Sébastien Decaux, forecaster for Météo Concept. Snowflakes were seen in certain places, such as near Avrillé, but melt once on the ground. Elsewhere, in neighboring departments, snow arrived in Normandy, in Saint-Saturnin, near Le Mans in Sarthe, in Bécherel in Ille-et-Vilaine…
