A few centimeters of snow were seen at daybreak this Thursday, November 21 in the south of the Marne. In Saint-Amand-sur-Fion for example, just before Vitry-le-François. Other residents of Champagne-Ardenne had the joy of seeing a few snowflakes stick to the ground in Haute-Marne.
The joys and dangers of snow are already back, one month before the official date of winter. Météo-France has placed several departments on orange alert for snow and ice, including Aube and Haute-Marne. Caution is required if you must take the road.
Near Chaumont, in Haute-Marne, the snow fell in large flakes from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20. This is demonstrated by several videos posted on the Haute-Marne weather Facebook page. But the snow won't last long, as temperatures are expected to rise this weekend. We expect Sunday in the Grand Est between 14 and 17 degrees.
