A player who doesn’t know Europe

Musa Touré, an Australian striker, aged just 18, will make his first steps in France and Europe. The player who arrived from Adelaide United, an Australian first division club, will be the first Australian in history to wear the Auvergne jersey. But the Touré family is well known to Ligue 2 followers, since Musa Touré’s two older brothers play in the French second division, Mohamed Touré at Paris FC and Al Hassan Touré at AC Ajaccio.

Little professional playing time

The Australian striker is considered one of the country’s hopes, with a contract extending until June 2028 with the French club, so the young player will have the opportunity to express himself over time. But with only 9 matches and a goal in A-League Men (Australian first division), the new Clermontois will need time to acclimatize to French professional football, “This is the first time I’m going to play so far from home, I’ll probably need a little time to find my bearings, but I’m looking forward to getting started and meeting my new teammates. I’m here to learn and bring my qualities to Clermont Foot.”, declares Musa Toure (source Clermont Foot).

A renewal of staff

Clermont Foot, very active on the transfer market, has definitely strengthened. With the arrival of experienced players,Henri Saivet from Pau FC and Damien Da Silva, the Ligue 2 resident club clearly displays its ambition to move up to the first division. Youth is also a central aspect of the club, with the arrival of Allan Ackra and Maïdine Douane. Sébastien Richard’s debut as head coach at the head of Clermont will therefore be accompanied by strong ambitions.
