The market that animates the emblematic Capitol Square every Wednesday, at Toulouse, will change his face. Or rather, expand your choice.

The Toulouse town hall has decided to open the Capitol Market to producers and to artisans. Fruits, vegetables, cheeses, cold meats or other foods will thus be able to join the list of exhibitors which, until now, were exclusively “non-food”.

A dozen guest producers

These producers will take the eleven places of the flying traders, who present themselves for placement every week. They will join the 33 permanent traders, at the meeting every Wednesday, and will therefore complete the current offer, made up of books, leather goods and clothing.

Objective ? “Revitalize the Capitol market and prioritize quality,” explained the Pink City.

This open-air market, Place du Capitole, in the heart of the city, will therefore become mixed. To the delight of epicurean Toulouse residents.

16 non-food locations to take

The ruffles, for their part, can apply for the 16 vacant spaces since the Capitole market has a total of 49, fixed, currently occupied by 33 traders.

And those who do not want to can still continue their flying activity, the same day, but in the evening, at the Legion of Honor market, in Marengo.
