On February 6, Renaud Muselier, president of the Region, accompanied by François de Canson, vice-president in charge of attractiveness and tourism, recalled the decisive advances for the Hautes-Alpes territory.
During this move, Renaud Muselier, explained: “ The Hautes-Alpes have a unique identity and characteristics that we must preserve. To do this, we support municipalities in their planning and development strategy. Today, we are happy to see the realization of the objectives that we had set for ourselves with all the authorities of this department ».
THE VOICE OF THE MOUNTAIN
He also clarified: “ With the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, we could become the world's leading winter sports area, bringing together all the assets to host a new edition of the Games. This will be a real opportunity to make the voice of our mountains heard, at the highest level, for all our projects. ».
Thus, the Region will release an exceptional envelope “ South Region, the safe region objective 2030 ». Endowed with €1 million per year until 2030 to help secure the running of the 2030 JOP events and strengthen the equipment of the national police, the national gendarmerie, the municipal police and the border police.
For his part, François de Canson, president of the Regional Tourism Committee, added: “ We visited Orres, Serre-Chevalier, Montgenèvre and Briançon. From the first mandate, the Region committed €525 million for the Hautes-Alpes department, including €325 million from regional funds and €200 million from European funds. For this second mandate, €1 billion has been deployed, including €640 million from regional funds and 360 million from European funds. ».
