The Mayotte club (R1/R2) was beaten by USC Corte (N3) (2-0) this Wednesday, November 20 for the first match of the 8th round of the Coupe de France. At home, the Corsican team defeated the Mahorais club at the very end of the match, thanks to goals from Tamboura (85') and Boussemart (90'+7).
The offbeat meeting for suspicion of cheating
The meeting was postponed by one day, due to the reserve placed by US Crépy-en-Valois, eliminated in the previous round by the Mahorais club. The Oise club accused the Mahorais of having falsified the medical certificates of three of their players. Following an investigation carried out by its disputes committee, the French Football Federation (FFF) finally ruled earlier in the morning in favor of the team that arrived in France from Mayotte a week ago, authorizing the meeting to be held in Corsica this Wednesday (8 p.m.).

For his part, Corte will return to the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France for the first time in 18 years.
