The HAC bitter at the decision of the financial policeman of French football

Every summer, professional football clubs pass by the DNCG (National Directorate of Management Control) like you take your car to the technical inspection. Some are confident and leave whistling. Others enter clenching their buttocks.

This was the case of the HAC, which emerged with a framework for its payroll.

A “scandalous imbalance”

The idea of ​​the Professional Club Control Commission is to verify that the finances of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs are ready to start the 2024-2025 season.

The club expected this decision, which it presents as a “logical consequence of the double punishment” it was given:

No one is unaware that HAC is the only Ligue 1 club not to have benefited from the funds negotiated as part of the agreement with CVC, which was intended in particular to consolidate and strengthen the clubs’ equity. The majority shareholder therefore had to replace this scandalous imbalance.

The oldest club also points to the current situation of French football, which still does not have no broadcaster for the coming season.

“This decision was, however, anticipated by the management of the club which has been working for several weeks on building a squad, guided by its budgetary situation,” concludes the HAC.
