The journey of the Black Devils of Combani (R1) in mainland France will have caused a lot of ink to flow, even though their journey in the Coupe de France is not over. This Wednesday, November 20 (8 p.m.), the Mahorais will finally compete in the 8th round of “the Cup of All Possibilities” on the lawn of USC Corte (R1). A meeting which should have already been played the day before at the same time, but which had been postponed to five hours before kick-off.

Suspicion cleared of falsification of medical certificates

It was the French Federation (FFF) which made this decision due to the investigation by its disputes committee into a suspicion of cheating reported by Crépy-en-Valois, the opponent of the Black Devils of Combani in the 7th round. The Oise club accused the Mahorais of having falsified the medical certificates of three of their players.

The FFF therefore decided in favor of the team that arrived in France from Mayotte a week ago, and which will be able to compete in the first 8th round of the Coupe de France in its history. But still without seven of his players, stuck in the country because of their irregular situation… A truly crazy journey.
