L’Saumur appellation produces dry and refreshing whites, fruity rosés and supple and lively red wines. The Saumur-Champigny appellation extends over the limestone hillsides of the left bank of the Loire, around the town of Saumur. Produced from Cabernet Franc, sometimes supplemented with Cabernet Sauvignon, the reds of the appellation are dense, fleshy and elegant.

We have chosen, among all the offers, on July 13, the Night of the Bubble at the Château de Saumur. Sparkling wine tasting, concerts and projection on the castle. White attire required for all participants. €18 in advance, €23 on site. Also, Les Grandes Tablées du Saumur-Champigny, Place de la République, still in Saumur, open-air restaurant, large tables and gingham tablecloths. Tasting of local products and the Cuvée des 100 vignerons, a collective vintage from the appellation’s winegrowers. A wine made from grapes offered by producers. The goal: “to maintain understanding and good humor within the appellation and not have to choose wine from one area to the detriment of another for festive moments”. Wednesday July 31 and Thursday July 1is August from 7:30 p.m.
