Pascal Jaussi, the founder of Swiss Space Systems (S3), will indeed be tried before the Broye District Criminal Court (FR). The latter had requested on October 10 to be dismissed from the trial, considering himself incompetent.
The Broye District Criminal Court had acted in this way due to the matter and had ordered the Friborg Public Prosecutor's Office (MP) to refer the case to the Economic Criminal Court. On November 5, the president of the latter decided on the relinquishment of the Broyarde body, contesting the jurisdiction of his court.
Prosecutor General Fabien Gasser has therefore resolved the dispute, the Public Prosecutor's Office announced on Wednesday. The magistrate 'answered in the negative to the question of whether this case requires the assessor judges to have special economic knowledge which would justify referral to the Economic Criminal Court'.
