Dakar, June 27 (APS) – The President of the Board of Directors of the Senegalese Society of Copyright and Related Rights, Ngoné Ndour, announced, Thursday, the establishment of an integrated digital platform for the dematerialization of all procedures.
”One of the major challenges to highlight is the establishment of an integrated digital platform for the dematerialization of all the company’s procedures,” she declared during the SODAV general assembly.
According to Ms. Ndour, with this new tool which will be operational this year, rights holders will be able to interact with their company in one click.
According to her, they will also be able to have information on all questions relating not only to the management of their rights, their membership, but also to the declaration of their works and the distribution of distributions.
”Finally, this digitalization will help us in the identification of users, the massification of the wallet and the control of collection through electronic payment, among others,” she argued.
The president of the board of directors of SODAV recalled that during the three years of management, notably 2021, 2022 and 2023, 90% of the sums collected were redistributed to the rights holders.
”SODAV is in pole position among the most respected collective management societies in Africa,” she said.
Furthermore, she added, “the company’s management model is magnified and recommended by the institutions and umbrella organizations in terms of collective management of copyright and related rights”.
