In 2023, the tax base for the corporate property tax, regulated by the General Tax Code, had been considerably increased. Companies mobilized strongly and came together to denounce this excessive increase which would put their businesses in danger. Stéphane Baudry, vice-president in charge of the economy, declared: “Last year’s catch-up was a big mistake. However, this tax base cannot be lower than the minimum base. The Haut Val de Sèvre community of communes (CCHVS), EPCI (1) with its own taxation, sets the amount of the minimum CFE base. »

“We can’t go back”

The CCHVS has revised the minimum bases as follows for the 2025 financial year, for a turnover of less than or equal to €10,000. The minimum amount of the bases will be €579 from €10,000 to €32,600 turnover (turnover), €1,158 from €32,600 to €100,000 turnover, €1,945 from €100,000 to €250,000, €1,996 from €250,000 at €500,000. For a turnover of more than €500,000, €2,058. The vice-president continued: “ To compensate for last year’s loss, another system for businesses will be presented at the next council. We’ve worked a lot with businesses to figure out how to help our businesses because we can’t go back. »
