In Eure as everywhere in , professionals are starting calendar sales. It is therefore common to see firefighters, garbage collectors or postmen knocking on doors. THE Norman alarm clock revealed that the town hall of Rugles called on its residents to be extra vigilant.

Why this alert? Because the agents of the Sepur company declared that people were pretending to be them in order to collect a few euros. The town hall therefore asks residents to carry out some checks before purchasing a calendar.

A simple method to avoid being trapped

To avoid being trapped, the town hall reminds that: “Sepur company garbage collectors always introduce themselves to two people”. Then, the agents always wear a fluorescent jacket with the company logo on the back. Finally, the city also specifies that the company in question has finished its tour for the year, they will not appear again.

A resident explained that a man introduced himself as a garbage collector and that she was not suspicious. The man was “friendly,” according to the victim, but he did not give his name. Residents are now alerted, the town hall hopes that the scams will stop.
