The nursing home issue was the most important point of the Community Council on Monday, November 18, chaired by Jean-Luc Lafenêtre. In close collaboration with the doctors concerned and C + M Architectes, the elected officials worked for several months on the future of the premises, located in the heart of the bastide, out of breath and too cramped.

In order to strengthen the presence of health professionals in the area, the Community Council, after abandoning the idea of ​​a construction outside the municipality, wanted to rehabilitate the existing one and enlarge it with a view to proximity to the pharmacy and parking spaces, to participate in the revitalization of the town center, all this in line with the Small Towns of Tomorrow project carried out by the Grenadian municipality.

Start of work in May 2025

Presented by the architect Cécile Roudet, “this medical house project corresponds to a professional practice, a work tool with opening potential, with seven medical offices”, after acquisition of the real estate of the SCI de l'Adour and from n°9 rue des Remparts. For security reasons, the main entrance will be switched to rue des Remparts, near the Magnolias car park. While maintaining medical activity, work will begin in May 2025, for a period of twelve months.

The financial estimate was discussed by the vice-president, Christophe Larrose. The final preliminary project amounts to 911,328 euros excluding tax, project management to 80,100 euros excluding tax, real estate acquisitions to 420,000 euros. Mandatory expenses (control office, soil study, SPS, diagnostics before work) are estimated at 26,775 euros excluding tax.

In terms of forecast revenue, several institutional partners have been identified: 650,562 euros from the State, 150,000 euros from the PETR (Territorial and Rural Balance Pole), 150,000 euros from the Departmental Council, 200,000 euros from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, and self-financing of 287,641 euros.

After discussion, the elected officials voted unanimously for the acquisition of real estate and the construction project for this health center.

Concerning the Youth Space stay project, which will be offered to 16 children aged 8 to 10 years old during the 2025 winter holidays (laser biathlon, snow tubing, snowshoes, igloo, dog sleds) for a budget total of €7,418.35, with external funding, elected officials adopt the participation of families according to the family quotient.
As part of the social protection reform, welfare aspect, elected officials unanimously adopted the optional membership of the CCPG to the participation agreement concluded between the Landes Management Center and Territoriale Mutuel. The community of municipalities will contribute 10 euros for each agent.
Approval of the framework agreement relating to land surveillance and control between Safer Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Community of Communes, for an annual contribution of 660 euros excluding tax.
Finally, validation of the sale of new products in the boutique area of ​​the Grenadois tourist office.
