Bruno Joncour comes out of his silence. The former mayor of Saint-Brieuc (2001-2017) and former deputy for Côtes-d’Armor (2017-2022) announced his support, unsurprisingly, for his favorite Mickaël Cosson (MoDem) for this year’s early legislative elections. Sunday June 30 and July 7, 2024.

“Build a coherent parliamentary majority”

In his press release, the former elected official argues his position: “We must collectively contribute to building a coherent, stable parliamentary majority concerned with prioritizing the general interest, while respecting the humanist values which are part of our republican pact. In this spirit, and as he has demonstrated since his election in 2022, Mickaël Cosson has the qualities required to meet this requirement; he always knew how to demonstrate constancy in his convictions, and tolerance and clarity in expressing them. »

Logical support. During the 2022 legislative elections, Bruno Joncour expressed his wish not to run again in the first constituency of Côtes-d’Armor. It was at that moment that he had “passed the baton” to the one who was still mayor of Hillion, Mickaël Cosson.

Benefiting from this strong support, the latter was elected with 52.39% in 2022. Facing him, already, Marion Gorgiard, who had collected 47.61%. Will we find the same finalist pair at the end of this first round, Sunday June 30, 2024?
