Arrested in Laz
Everything happens Saturday, November 16 in the early morning. Around 6:20 a.m., the defendant left the nightclub Laz. He crosses the road gendarmes at a roundabout. “They used their stop stick to stop your vehicle,” said the president of the court.
The motorist contested the refusal to comply: “I was going to stop a little further away so as not to hinder traffic. I didn't try to escape. » For the prosecutor, these explanations “do not hold up”.
The man insults the police, refuses to submit to an alcohol test. And for good reason: that evening, he drank “around ten beers”: “Alcohol makes me stupid,” he declared.
Bypassing the immobilizer breathalyzer
It wasn't the first time. In January 2024, he was sentenced to drive for a year with an alcohol interlock device (EAD). “You managed to circumvent the system,” noted the president.
The young man, owner of a hair salon in Quimper, has three entries in his record. “There’s one for hit and run. You were also convicted of speeding at 139 km/h instead of 80,” the president listed.
Monsieur owes a lot to his insertion. He is a business manager and employs two people. However, through his behavior, he puts others and himself in danger.
Seven months in prison
In defense, his lawyer noted “an atypical profile” and “a problem of excessive alcohol consumption”. He was not released for his refusal to comply.
His client received seven months in prison to be carried out with an electronic bracelet, and four months with a probationary suspension of two years during which he ban on frequenting drinking establishments et nightclubs. His driving license was revoked.
