A show based on reality with young Syrians who play out their own story.

The Arc en Scène company is coming to the Avignon Off Festival from June 29 to July 11, 2024.

She will present the show L’ailleurs directed by Mété Arikan which retraces the path strewn with pitfalls traveled by Syrian families arriving in Autun in the heart of Burgundy.

This show, initiated by Thibault Mouginot as part of a social development initiative, follows the comic strip We are missing words which talks about the daily lives of these families since their arrival in France. A comic strip that you can find at the Village du Off bookstore.

A social project highlighted in the cultural environment.

After participating in the Angoulême International Comics Festival in January 2024, it is highlighted in Avignon where the company arrives in large numbers with young Syrian and Ukrainians.

This show, which mixes arts and cultures, invites people to share and meet with its audience through the drawings of Yas Munasinghe, the music of Plantin Lo Joglar and the songs of Khaled Zyadeh. An exclusive session will also be offered to local associative and social actors from Avignon and its region with this strong desire not to forget the very essence of this project supported by the City of Autun and the Interministerial Delegation of Reception and Integration of Refugees (Diair).
